GxP collectively refers to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Good Distribution Practice (GDP). Any process improvement must be evaluated against the applicable GxP standards for the activity in question. ALCOA+ in Practice
ALCOA+ is the foundational data integrity framework for regulated life sciences. Every data-generating process must be designed to produce attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, accurate, complete, consistent, enduring, and available records. 21 CFR Part 11 & EU Annex 11

Not all process gaps are equal — a documentation inconsistency in a non-GxP administrative process is categorically different from the same inconsistency in a batch release workflow. Risk assessment should guide both the sequence and the depth of process remediation.
Audit Readiness
Regulatory inspections can occur at any time, with limited notice. Organizations with mature, well-documented processes are fundamentally more inspection-ready than those that scramble to produce documentation before announced audits.
